Project 7: Life Science Day Poster Design

A friend called me today to seek my help on helping him to design a poster about "life science day" for his school's cca. The target audience of this "life science day" are young children and primary school children so this lead me thinking, the poster that i am designing must be able to attract young children, so using bright colors and cartoon characters inside the poster is a must.

Inside the photoshop, i uses the gradient tool to color the background "green", why i chose green? Because the color green usually pops up instantly in our mind when we think of the word "science"

 













Next, i added words to the poster such as the title, the timing and the place for the event to be held at.

Next, i cropped in a cartoon doctor that i had found on the internet onto the poster, add some final touches towards it and the final product is done.

Lastly, this is how the final piece of poster looks like.

Project 6: Shoe Ad

This is an sneaker advertisement that i have done for my friend's project. To get started, i have downloaded a piece of high resolution shoe image from this website "Stock.XCHNG", this website that enables you to download free and not copyrighted stock images. This is the image that i have downloaded..

I am going to make the shoe looks like a falling rocket that is traveling at a high speed downwards towards the earth, with burning fire and sparks exploding in my design. So to get started, i open up my adobe photoshop and created a Grey background.

Next, i created the "clouds" by using brushes to showcase the earth atmosphere in my design.

Next, i added another layer of black background over the existing background to showcase "dark atmosphere" and "nightfall".

Now, it's time for me to crop in the picture of the red sneaker into my design.

After cropping the picture of the red sneaker onto my design, i am going to add in some fire effects and sparks to increase the effectiveness of the overall feel.

Lastly, after adding some final touches to the overall advertisement, the advertisement will now be a final product.

Project 5: Club's Poster Design

"I must complete a poster design in a span of 2 hrs using the resources given", that's the challenge being thrown to me. The resources given to me was the picture of a club, the words and a logo. So to get started, i need to decide on the primary colors that i will be using in the poster. In the end, i chose a combination of brown and white for the poster as i felt that it will bring classiness of the club.


I open up photoshop and uses the gradient tool to color the background of the poster design..

Next, i included the words and the logo to the poster. To further enchance the legibility of the words, i uses effects such as "Drop Shadow", "Stroke" and "Bevel and Embross".

Now, it's time to put in the picture of the club to the poster and add some final touches to the overall poster so that it will look like a finish piece of work.

Thus, this is how the final work looks like, total amount of time spent = 1 hr 32mins.
 

Project 4: Designer Forum Fashion Magazine

Hi all, it's me again! Today i am going to show you guys how i am going to design a cover of a magazine. I decided to name my magazine as "Designer Forum", so to get started, i opened up Adobe photoshop to design the layout of the page..

After i had decide on the layout of my magazine cover, i decided to add some symbols and columns to it to further beautify it.The reason why i had chosen the colors: purple,white, black and white as the main colors for the magazine cover is because i felt that the following colors best suited the word "Design".

After i had included the columns and the symbols, it's time for me to add in the words and to crop in the pictures so that it will look like a finished product.

And so, this is how the final design of my magazine cover looks like =)

Project 3: Remake of Wedding Dress MV

This is a video production done by me and my production crews far back in 2009, this is a remake of a korean mv. Our version of this mv is mainly about love-hate relationship between 3 parties. So if you wanna know more about it, do take a look at those videos below :)

Project 2: Remake of Social Development Unit's Logo

For this project, i had to remake and design the logo for SDU. So to get started, i research and study on the original logo of SDU.

This is how the original logo of SDU looks like..

I wanted to remake my own logo and at the same time, to retain the original style of the SDU logo, so to get started, i drew my design of the SDU logo in Adobe Illustrator.

After drawing the outline, i added some colors and added the words "Social development Unit" to it and this is how the final design looks like..
